Bachelor's/ Master's Theses

NOTE: Internships, Bachelor and Master thesis offers are for enrolled students of TU Munich only!

What types of projects do we offer?

The Mechanics & High Performance Computing Group (Professur für Mechanik auf Höchstleistungsrechnern) offers research topics for Bachelor's Theses, Master's Theses, diploma theses and term papers. Application for HiWi positions in research or teaching is also possible.

All topics require interests in development or application of numerical algorithms for a broad spectrum of mechanical problems. They range from fundamental research to solving application-specific problems. All topics for student projects are related to current research projects of our group (overview on our research projects). In every student project, developed ideas have to be implemented in software, mostly using C++. Of course, final results have to be reported in a written thesis accompanied by an oral presentation.

How to apply for a student project / thesis?

If you are interested in working on a student´s project at the Mechanics & High Performance Computing Group, feel free to contact Mikhail Zverlov, such that we can find a suitable topic that matches your interests. Please provide information on the type of project, your academic background, your research interests as well as previous programming experience and interest therein. Also please attach a short CV and a current status report from TUMOnline to your application. For security reasons, send pdf only. Please use your TUM email address (@tum.de or @mytum.de).

Are there any specific open student projects at the moment?

Open topics can sometimes also be found at the BaSaMa database.
